Boy Toys

I went outside at Mom's Sunday afternoon and found Brian and Mark playing with the two new remote control toys that Dad bought(supposedly for the boys) at Mal's yard sale this weekend. The boys were just dying to play with them but Mark and Brian were having too much fun themselves to let them play....
This big army vehicle was a huge hit with them all! Brian had this thing chasing me while I was trying to unload my car.
"I wanna play!" is what Brax kept telling Brian. Isn't that pitiful? Grown men playing while their sons just beg....
Cooper finally got a turn...... He's actually gotten good with the remote control, according to my dad.
And I have to include a shot of Kamdyn, who came outside to watch and commentate.

Outdoor Fun

The kids have been loving the warmer weather this week. Kamdyn has begged to go to the park every day when I pick her up. We haven't made it to the park yet but we did manage to get outside several nights this week. Kamdyn has practiced riding her bike a lot, which is something she's never shown much interest in before. I think she would like it better if she had a better spot to ride.
Cooper has been practicing hitting the ball off the tee. I think he actually does better when Mark just pitches it to him. Of course, we've not tried a real ball yet! Mark wants him to be left-handed and we're still not quite sure yet which he'll be. He bats both ways right now.
He's looking very forward to t-ball and I'm excited to watch him. Kamdyn will just be cheering this year.
And are you even surprised at this picture? Of course, Cooper started whacking away at the bicycle and Kam started screaming and running from him. I honestly think she's afraid of him. She screams and runs every time he picks up something and looks her way.

By the way, I keep forgetting my list of Kamdyn quotes to add. I'll get to that next week.

TGIF!!! We have a busy weekend!

Grandkids Pic Attempt #479

Mom wanted us to try to get a picture of the grandkids together Sunday afternoon. We've attempted this 478 times already and she still has no group shot to show off.
As you can see, Braxton wanted no part of this. He was more interested in the cow out in the pasture. Unfortunately, he screamed so loud the cow ran off.
My kids actually sat but that's about all I can say.... at least they tried.
Hold on, Campbell Grace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Check out Cooper's expressions in all these shots.... it cracks me up!!
Isn't this the sweetest???
Mimi's two little princesses...I have looked through all 80 shots that I took Sunday and no, there is still not one decent group shot for Mimi to show off. But at least she can tell folks her grandkids have personality!!!

Her Own Style...

This is what Kam looked like when we went to church Sunday. She calls this her "Sharpay" headband.
This is what she looked like when I saw her after church:
I asked her if she had a toothache and I'm pretty sure I heard a baby Huie reference from someone. She thought she was hilarious and she ran around the sanctuary giggling because she knew everyone was laughing at her!

So Much To Say

So little time to say it....

I know I was such a slacker last week with the blog. I'm still finding it hard to find the time to actually update and add new pictures. With that being said, come back to visit this week soon. It was a busy weekend and Kamdyn has given me so many new quotes to add this week. I literally started a list! And... I tried to take some new pics to upload as well. Come back soon!

Sickies

We had a very lazy and restful weekend, which is exactly what we, umm, I needed. We did venture out to Larry's on Saturday night (because I didn't want to cook!), but I didn't even put makeup on to go. I think our weekends are booked until summer from here on out so I'm grateful for the lazy time at home.

On Sunday, the nursery workers told me that they didn't think Cooper felt good. Mom cooked lunch so by the time we got to her house, my Dad wasn't feeling well and they both were running temperature. Two peas in a pod......

So yesterday we had a sick day at home. Mark worked late and the kids were so anxious for him to get home, which now that I think about it, doesn't make me sound too good. They talked his ear off when he finally made it home. You would have thought that they didn't speak all day.

Kam was already planning for another day at home today, which Mark told her probably wasn't going to happen. She said that she had to stay home today because her "back was just crapping her up!" We're not sure where that came from or what it means... but she went to school today anyway! She did refuse for a few minutes to get out of the car at Mae's but she finally got out after I threatened to take away her Wii for the week.

I'm hoping that Cooper is on the mend. I'm sure as soon as he gets well that Kam will be next!

A Little This and That

I got an email from my mom today telling me that she kept checking my blog for new pictures and she hadn't seen any yet. Yeah, yeah... It's been one of those weeks. I've been busy at the office and just haven't found the time to blog this week.

Remember this?
This is the bed that didn't get ordered when I got my bedroom furniture in September. Mark finally ordered it for me (he said it was my Valentine's gift) and it came in this week. Although it is MASSIVE, I love it! The kids love it too and I have joked that the extra height will make it harder for them to crawl into bed with me at night. I actually nearly fell the first morning I got up because of the height difference.

We've had a lot going on with the family the last week and I think it's been a good reminder to all of us to trust that God is in control... and for me personally, I've been reminded to count my blessings and not take them for granted!

Yesterday, Mom picked up Braxton and Campbell and came by our house while waiting on Brian to get home. When they pulled up Kam said, "I'll help Mimi get the kids out of the car." Like she really could! I still have to unbuckle her car seat every day.

We wanted to keep the kids in the car since Brian was almost there so Cooper and Kam climbed into Mimi's car. Cooper and Kam love Campbell. Kam crawled in to peek at her and I heard her say, "hi, baby girl." So cute! I think Cooper was playing "I'm gonna get you" with her here....
Cooper and Braxton began yanking Campbell's blanket back and forth over her seat and I was afraid they were going to smother her. When I opened the door to stop them, Campbell was smiling and her little eyes were darting back and forth at them. She is starting to smile and it is precious.

Speaking of Braxton and Cooper, I missed a prime photo op earlier this week. The boys found the bicycle helmets that Mom got Kam and Coop and put them on and would NOT take them off. Cooper had Lightning McQueen on and Brax wore a pink Hello Kitty helmet proud. He cried every time we tried to take it off of him. I will not even repeat what Mark and Brian were saying about them because you all would think we were terrible (but you would laugh, I promise!).

Today was "Crazy Cap" day for Cooper's class. What do you think?
It was "Silly Sock" day for Kamdyn but I have no picks of her feet.

Before I forget.... I registered Cooper for tee ball yesterday. He cried when we left because he didn't get to play ball. I tried to tell him on the way there that we were just signing up but apparently I didn't do a good enough job. He was upset.

We tried to talk Kam into playing this year but she says she just wants "to cheer." I think Mark was a little disappointed. She's a leftie and I think he had high hopes for her this year. Maybe softball will interest her in a few years. Right now, she wants to play soccer and cheer. We'll see...

Wasn't this the most random post ever???? TGIF!!!!
